Legion Battle Forge is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting veterans, first responders, and their families through the art of metalworking. Our mission is to provide a therapeutic and creative outlet where participants can forge not only metal but also resilience, camaraderie, and a renewed sense of purpose.

You Will Learn:
Traditional punching techniques, Drifting and shaping methods, Heat treatment fundamentals, Handling and finishing your completed axe
About Your Instructor
Mathew Davidson has been blacksmithing and bladesmithing since 2018, beginning his craft as the resident blacksmith at The Historic Village of Allaire in Farmingdale, NJ. Over two years, he trained under master craftsman Mark Morrow, developing a strong foundation in traditional forging. After relocating to West Virginia in October 2020, Mathew opened his shop to local veterans, offering introductory blacksmithing classes and continually refining his teaching methods to provide the best experience possible.
